In the summer of 2015, Belmont English majors Amanda Miller, Emma Tamplin, Shannah Boucher, Hannah McClure, and Ashli Shamblin visited England as part of the Belmont Month in London (Prof. Maggie Monteverde, program director). Their course, entitled “The Road to Downton Abbey” and taught by Professor Douglas Murray, took them to the sites connected to Ben Jonson, the Joe Wright Pride & Prejudice, and Jane Austen. They also visited Highclere Castle, where the series Downton Abbey was filmed.
